Dance Prime is the brand-new model created by Risport that meets the needs of all high-level athletes, guaranteeing them the best performance.
Made with light materials and a high technological content (microfibre) that make it the lightest skate on the market today, it proudly reflects the aesthetic lines of the Dance model that has graced the winners’ podiums at the World Championships and the Olympics.
The Dance Prime model introduces two major innovations in the skating scene, both aimed at ensuring maximum performance:
– Special processing (crystallisation) that guarantees the stability of the materials and durability over time
– A special EVA insert that gives the tongue extreme flexibility, elasticity and maximum rebound
It implements the features of Risport professional products, including:
– The exceptional lining that guarantees maximum stability and control of the skate, with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties thanks to treatment with aloe
– Leather sole with special angled processing that enables skaters to reach very high lateral inclinations; leather has the ability to stop vibrations being transmitted to the foot and simultaneously to ensure perfect control
– Maximum comfort and performance thanks to the innovative rear profile designed specifically to meet dance needs, allowing maximum extension of the ankle and better comfort
– The special lacing system, made with reinforced eyelets, holes and hooks, allows multi-adjustable lacing at different points of the foot and ankle
– Maximum support thanks to lateral reinforcements (65)

Skates are meant to fit like socks.
Contrary to most people's understanding, buying skates should not be like buying shoes. Instead of presenting your normal shoe size and using a conversion chart to choose a size, we need to ensure a proper fit to avoid the blades/plates from sitting in the wrong place relative to the ball area of your foot where all the magic happen.
At SkatersEdge, we understand how correctly fitted boots contribute to the enjoyment of the sport and progress of learning. We have enough foot data to provide you with the best fit, even when you're not in store to try on the skates.
Our Blade Mounting Options:
1. Temporary Mount (Temp Mount):
- With a temporary mount, we will use only 4 temporary screws per boot to attach the blades. This setup allows you to test your alignment on the ice and make any necessary adjustments before committing to a full mount.
- A temporary mount is ideal if you have a technician or coach available to observe you skating and help adjust your alignment.
- You must secure the blades with full mount screws as soon as testing is complete.
- While using a temporary mount, you should avoid toe jumps and aggressive movements to prevent blade shifting.
2. Full Mount:
- For a full mount, we will secure the blades with 6 to 8 screws per boot, providing a more permanent attachment.
- Even with a full mount, you will still have the option to adjust alignment later, though the process may not be as flexible as with a temporary mount.
Sharpening:
- The most commonly used hollow depth for our customers is 1/2 inch (0.5 inch). This is a versatile option that provides a good balance between edge grip and glide, making it suitable for most skaters.
- If you have specific preferences or requirements for sharpening, please let us know so we can tailor the service to your needs.
Our sharpening service is break‑in free, so you won’t get that “stuck” feeling that often happens after a regular sharpen.

How long does it take to process an order?
We aim to dispatch all accessory orders within 2 business days. For skates orders that require assembly, please allow 2-3 business days for the preparation and dispatch of your skate orders. We take great pride in assembling, sharpening, and preparing all skates in-store to ensure maximum precision and accuracy you can trust.

What is your return policy?
- All clearance items are sold as-is, final sale: No refunds, no returns, and no further price adjustments.
- Product returns from overseas that are not due to our error will incur a 5% handling and restocking fee.
- To return any item, you must contact SkatersEdge on at [email protected] for instructions and approval.
- A product may be returned ONLY in its original and unworn condition within 7 days of receiving.
- Orders may only be canceled within 24 hours of placing the order, or before the item(s) has been shipped, whichever is earlier.
- Please note that once skates (boots + blades, boots + plates) are assembled, they cannot be returned for any reason.Our virtual fitting service aims to provide helpful guidelines, and we offer sizing suggestions based on our knowledge, previous foot data and strictly according to supplier sizing guideline. You might find the recommended size not suitable if you have previously unknown foot condition or personal preferences. Therefore, we strongly advise against requesting mounting service if you haven’t tried on the skates prior to purchase. Note unless product is confirmed defective by its supplier, in the case of returning and exchange, we will not cover the return shipping and resending costs.By selecting one of our services (mounting, sharpening, etc.), you are placing trust in our many years of expertise, Please note that returns will not be accepted based on feedback from coaches, friends, or other technicians, Returns are only possible if the issue is recognised by the boots or blades supplier. If you anticipate needing to adjust the blade alignment, we recommend choosing a temporary mounting or no mounting. Otherwise, we will proceed with the industry-standard default alignment.
- SkatersEdge is not liable for return shipping or re-shipping costs associated with orders placed incorrectly by the customer. If an overseas return and refund are requested, the actual sending charge will be deducted by SkatersEdge, rather than the subsidized shipping charge initially incurred during the order placement.
- There are no returns or exchanges for opened package cut blade guards, soakers or anything that has customisation done before sending.
- Unworn apparel may be exchanged for a different size if it is new, unwashed, in the original packaging with tags still attached and no rips, torn seams, odors, or stains of any kind. Tights can not be returned/exchanged due to hygiene reasons, please refer confirm sizing on size chart before ordering.
- If the return is due to our error, or defective in accordance with a manufacturer’s warranty, (photos of the defect must be provided before a return is accepted) SkatersEdge will pay for return shipping via an emailed, pre-paid return shipping label and new shipping charges for the correctly ordered product within our service scope (New Zealand).
